?In the shadows of Yankee Stadium is Mullaly Pool, a place where hundreds of kids gather daily for sun, play and free summer meals. Today, NY Yankees Manager Joe Girardi and City Council member Vanessa L. Gibson joined Department of Education officials and anti-hunger advocate organizations to kick off New York City's FREE summer meals program, promote summer meal site locations and reward children with Yankee game tickets for making healthy choices.
Beginning today, Monday, March 15, Dine in Brooklyn patrons will have the opportunity to contribute to Share the Table, a fundraising campaign with the New York City Coalition Against Hunger (NYCCAH).
Vanity Fair and the FEED Foundation are teaming up to throw two fundraising events to help launch the Hungry in America Project; the first was co-hosted by Tom Colicchio and Natalie Portman on Sunday, February 21 at Colicchio & Sons in New York City at 85 10th Avenue.
