Blake, and Sean Frank Sullivan, comes an AEA Staged Reading of the new American rock musical, Whiskeyland! There will be two, invite only, industry presentations On November 17th and 18th at The Ford Foundation Studio Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 W. 42nd St.)

IMAGINE: A Concert of Hope, a benefit concert to raise funds to benefit Cancer Research through the Brian Werbel Memorial Fund at University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center was held earlier this week at (le) poisson rouge (158 Bleecker St.). Sabrina Sloan (Motown, Catch Me If You Can) will lead the charge as disgraced angel-turned-preacher Peerless Jones in the September 15th concert presentation of Whiskeyland!, the epic new Boston rock fantasy created by Motown the Musical's Nik Walker and produced by Richard H. Kennedy, and a Developmental Lab presentation of Buddy's Tavern, with book by Raymond De Felitta, music by Kim Oler, and lyrics by Alison Hubbard at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (Entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).

Elizabeth Van Meter's The Purpose Project: Thao's Library is a true story that genuinely touches the heart. Utilizing a multimedia presentation, Van Meter details the events that occurred that convinced her to attempt and reach out to a person who was born with disabilities due to the spraying of the toxic defoliant agent orange during the Vietnam war. A poignant picture of a young woman in a wheel chair, named Thao, made an impression on Van Meter and, when she found out this person was attempting to amass a library for her village, she decided to help her with her dream. This is a powerful story that changed both of their lives for the better, and it's receiving a wonderful production by Mustard Seed Theatre.
