On Sunday September 25th and Saturday October 8th, Jim Speake brings back his acclaimed show, "Sweet Life the Show" to Don't Tell Mama. Both shows are at 4pm.

nternational song stylist Iris Williams returns to the cabaret scene in a rare New York appearance, a one night only solo performance - her debut at Birdland, the landmark jazz club located in the heart of New York's theater district. During Ms. Williams' set, themed 'I Wish You Love,' she will interpret classic American standards featuring composers Gershwin, Harold Arlen, Duke Ellington, Burton Lane, and more. Music Director Art Weiss will be on piano, with Tom Hubbard on bass and Jeff Brillinger on drums on October 19 at 7pm.www.birdlandjazz.com.

At a ceremony held last night in New York, the Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs announced the winners of the 2015 MAC Awards. The show was hosted by Karen Mason, with musical direction by Barry Levitt, and was produced by Julie Miller and directed by Lennie Watts.

The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs will present the 29th Annual MAC Awards on Thursday, March 26st, at 7:30pm, at B.B King Blues Club & Grill in New York City.

As the result of her recent successful appearances at the Metropolitan Room, singer Peggy King will be joined by the entire All-Star Jazz Trio for her next show on Tuesday, April 29 at 7 PM. The award-winning group consists of Andy Kahn on piano, Bruce Klauber on drums and Bruce Kaminsky on drums and they have been performing with King for the past year, but this will mark their debut at the Metropolitan Room.

Frank Torren returns to the stage in an encore presentation of Moment to Moment! Performances are scheduled for Sunday, May 4 at 4pm, Wednesday, May 7 at 7pm, and Wednesday, May 14 at 7pm at Don't Tell Mama, 343 W 46 St. $15 music charge with 2 drink minimum. The University of Maryland School of Music brings musician-poet, Sidney Clopton Lanier to life in a presentation that honors his creative legacy and artistic contribution to his adopted home, Baltimore, during the post-Civil War Reconstruction Era. Entitled Orpheus' Son - The Life of Sidney Lanier and His Music of Language, the program tells Lanier's poignant life story, interwoven with passages of period flute music, some composed by Lanier, and narrative readings of Lanier's poetic musical expression.
