The Ivoryton Playhouse will open MAN OF LA MANCHA on September 7th and the timing could not be more appropriate. The media fueled circus that is the current political situation and the general instability of the world at large make dreaming impossible dreams an inviting and desperately needed antidote.

Just announced, Norm Lewis will star in the iconic dual roles of Cervantes/Don Quixote in the legendary Broadway musical, Man of La Mancha at The 5th Avenue Theatre.

After being nominated for 7 MD Theatre Guide Reader's Choice Awards, The BTCT presents the Tony Award winning musical, Man of La Mancha, on August 21st at 2:00pm, and August 23rd and 24th at 7:00 pm. All performances will take place in the Mintzes Theatre at the H. Morton Rosen Arts Center, located at Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School at 3300 Old Court Road in Pikesville, Maryland.

Tonight, July 6th, Tamra Hayden, who stellar career includes originating the role of Cosette in LES MISERABLES on Broadway, takes 'Love Is ...' to Feinstein's/54 Below.

Today in 1972, the first Broadway revival of Man of La Mancha opened at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre, where it ran for 140 performances. Man of La Mancha is a musical with a book by Dale Wasserman, lyrics by Joe Darion and music by Mitch Leigh. It is adapted from Wasserman's non-musical 1959 teleplay I, Don Quixote, which was in turn inspired by Miguel de Cervantes's seventeenth century masterpiece Don Quixote. It tells the story of the 'mad' knight, Don Quixote, as a play within a play, performed by Cervantes and his fellow prisoners as he awaits a hearing with the Spanish Inquisition.The original 1965 Broadway production ran for 2,328 performances and won five Tony Awards, including Best Musical. The musical has been revived four times on Broadway, becoming one of the most enduring works of musical theatre.

The Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center (FAC) has announced the line?up for the 2016?2017 season which starts Sept. 1 and will include world?renowned artists such as James Surls, life?changing workshops like the Military Artistic Healing program, and award?winning theatre productions such as Shrek: The Musical.

Bristol Riverside Theatre concludes its 2015-2016 season daring audiences to "dream the impossible dream" with the ever-popular musical Man of La Mancha running May 10-June 5.  With music by Mitch Leigh, lyrics by Joe Darion, and book by Dale Wasserman, the production is directed by Keith Baker and features the triumphant return of Gypsy star Robert Newman, joined by Sharon Alexander, Julian Brightman, Lauren Cupples, Robert Farruggia, Tamra Hayden, Christopher Roche, Danny Rutigliano, Dwayne Alistair Thomas, and Danny Vaccaro.  The cast is supplemented by the ensemble of Rajeer Alford, Daniel Bontempo, Elena Camp, Will Connell, Stephan Dagrosa, John DiFerdinando, Adam Hoyak, Kevin Murray, and Victor Rodriguez.

 'The Impossible Dream,' one of the great songs of the American musical theatre, will lift the hearts of audiences with its message of courage and the search for truth as Lakewood Theatre Company concludes its 63rd season on Friday April 29, 2016 with the award-winning musical, Man of La Mancha. On Friday, March 11, Kentwood Players welcomed the multiple Tony Award winning musical "MAN OF LA MANCHA" with Book by Dale Wasserman, Music by Mitch Leigh and Lyrics by Joe Darion to the Westchester Playhouse where performances will continue through April 16.
