The Theatre Museum has announced the honorees for the 2014 Theatre Museum Awards for Excellence. The mission of The Theatre Museum is to preserve, protect, and perpetuate the legacy of the theatre. It is the first and only chartered non profit museum dedicated to the history of Theatre. Since 1995 The Awards for Excellence have recognized individuals and organizations for their contribution to theater arts, education, theater history and preservation. The 2014 Theatre Museum Awards will take place on Tuesday, May 27th at 6PMat The Players Club 16 Gramercy Park, NYC.

The Tony Awards Administration Committee has announced this year's recipients of 2014 Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre. These honors will be presented at the Tony Honors Cocktail Party, a private cocktail reception, on Monday, June 2nd at the Paramount Hotel's Diamond Horseshoe. The 2014 Tony Awards will be broadcast live on Sunday, June 8th on CBS, and are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.

Due to a late-breaking change in the availability of its headliners, the recently announced Actors Fund all-star benefit concert of the acclaimed Neil Simon / Marvin Hamlisch / David Zippel musical THE GOODBYE GIRL has been postponed. The concert, which reunites Broadway co-stars Norbert Leo Butz and Kate Baldwin and was announced for Monday, April 7 at The Gerald R. Lynch Theatre at John Jay College, will now be rescheduled for Fall 2014.

Broadway Icon and nine time TONY Award winner, Tommy Tune, hosted The Actors Fund's 17th Annual Tony Awards Viewing Party at the Taglyan Cultural Complex on Sunday, June 9th, 2013. Produced and written by David Rambo and directed by Luke Yankee, the event featured the only approved live TONY Award feed direct from New York to California, allowing guests of the Actors Fund to view the awards before the rest of West Coast viewed the delayed broadcast.

The 2013 Theatre Museum Awards for Excellence were held Monday night, June 3rd, at The Players Club. Honorees at the evening's ceremony included the Distinguished Service to the Theatre Award given, posthumously, to Helen Guditis and The Theatre Arts Education Award presented to Emerson College. The evening also included a special tribute to the Palace Theater in honor of its 100th anniversary. The Palace Tribute was a trip back in time to the vaudeville era. The Actors Fund's 2nd Annual CelebriTee Golf & Tennis Outing took place on Monday, July 9, 2012 at the historic Knickerbocker Country Club in Tenafly, New Jersey, raising more than $50,000 in support of The Fund's Lillian Booth Actors Home in Englewood, New Jersey. On Tuesday, March 27th, Rosie's Theater Kids held an event called 'Passing It On,' where the Kids performed a show which they learned in tandem with mega mentors like Audra McDonald, BD Wong, Brandon Victor Dixon, Dana Moore, and Derick K Grant, among others.
