Five Boroughs Music Festival (5BMF) today announces programming for its tenth anniversary season, continuing its mission of bringing affordable, high-caliber performances of traditional and contemporary chamber music to all five boroughs of New York City. 

SPACE on Ryder Farm will present Taylor Mac's A 24-Decade History of Popular Music: 1986-2016, August 6 & 7 at 7 PM. Music Director Matt Ray will join Mac for the work-in-progress performances, which span three decades from Mac's wildly ambitious, multi-year effort to chart the history of popular music in America, from the nation's founding in 1776 to the present day. Tickets are available for $35 through July 15, and $40 after, at www.spaceonryderfarm.org/calendar/taylor-mac.

The play's historical characters are all men but they're scripted to be played by women.

An all-woman cast plays out the story of John Wesley Powell's expedition to the Grand Canyon.

Following a three-and-a-half week summer concert tour of Austria and Italy, Electric Youth (EY) will perform two free outdoor concerts today, July 21, at 6:30 p.m. at Norfolk Town Hill and on Wednesday, July 27, at 6 p.m. on Franklin Town Common.

42nd Street Touring Company 'Dares To Dance' To Raise Awareness

Artistic Director Anda Winters today announces Print Room at the Coronet's forthcoming season running through until December 2016. The season opens with Tennessee Williams' A Lovely Sunday for Creve Coeur, directed by Michael Oakley. The production opens in the main theatre space on 15 September, with previews from 12 September, and runs until 7 October.

This week, Dallas became the stage for a tragic sniper attack as Dallas police officers were gunned down while supporting a local peaceful protest. Just a few miles down the road, the touring company of 42ND STREET was onstage at the Music Hall at Fair Park, where they are just concluding their two-week visit before performing a one-week run at Fort Worth's Bass Performance Hall. As a response to the Dallas attack, as well as the other high-profile shootings over the last month, the cast decided to give something back to the community who has been coming out in full force to support them.

Artistic Director of Theatre Royal Stratford East, Kerry Michael today announces the theatre's forthcoming season launching this September. Abingdon Theatre Company recently celebrated the opening night of STET, a new play which has extended its Off-Broadway performances through July 10. Written by Kim Davies and developed by Kim Davies, Jocelyn Kuritsky and Tony Speciale, STET is produced in association with The Muse Project.  Artistic Director Tony Speciale directs the world-premiere drama inspired by the Rolling Stone article 'A Rape on Campus.'
