BWW Review: DOCTOR FAUSTUS, Sam Wanamaker Playhouse

In the intimate candle-lit Sam Wanamaker Playhouse at the Globe, Christopher Marlowe's Doctor Faustus has once again been brought to life on the London stage. In this version however, director Paulette Randall has switched the lead's gender, with Jocelyn Jee Esien taking on the role of the ambitious and knowledgeable Faustus.

SCHOOL GIRLS; OR, THE AFRICAN MEAN GIRLS PLAY Will Be Filmed for WNET-TV

MCC Theater announce the last day of school-the final performance of the encore production of the critically acclaimed , award-winning play School Girls; Or, the African Mean Girls Play, written by 2017/18 Tow Playwright-in-Residence, Jocelyn Bioh, and directed by Tony Winner Rebecca Taichman will be December 9, 2018.

The New Jersey Foundation for Dance and Theatre Arts' THE NUTCRACKER Returns

The New Jersey Foundation for Dance and Theatre Arts has been presenting "The Nutcracker" in the North Jersey area for the past 23 years. The show is considered one of New Jersey's finest dance and theatrical presentations. Revuew of the performance have called it a superb production of the "Nutcracker" with a twist. The 'twists" are Nancy King's special additions to this 100 year old ballet. The opening scene is a musical theatre production of this 1900's festive ball with Holiday vocalists and specially choreographed dances.

Citadel Extends JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT One Week

Citadel Theatre Company's November-December production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's musical JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT has been extended due to popular demand and will play an additional five performances, according to Citadel Artistic Director Scott Phelps. Originally scheduled to close on Sunday, December 23, the musical will now run through Sunday, December 30.

BWW Review: Theatre 29!'s ANNIE is Fun for All

Theatre 29!'s current production, the Broadway perennial favorite, ANNIE, presents an impressive array of adult and child cast members with comedic and vocal ability, all of whose enthusiasm is catching. The show is a great deal of fun.

Sundance Film Festival Announces 2019 Film Lineup

The nonprofit Sundance Institute announced today the showcase of new independent feature films selected across all categories for the 2019 Sundance Film Festival. The Festival hosts screenings in Park City, Salt Lake City and at Sundance Mountain Resort, from January 24 - February 3, 2019.

January Lineup Revealed at The Royal Conservatory Of Music

21C Music Festival - five days of newly-minted music during which audiences have an opportunity to experience fresh new sounds and ideas from the greatest musical minds of today - moves from May to January with the sixth edition of the festival. From January 16 to 20, this edition will celebrate the American minimalist composer Terry Riley, with his music being performed in three of the concerts, including one that he will headline, titled Terry Riley: Live at 85! Additionally, more than a half of the works presented during the festival will be receiving premieres - 6 world, 1 North American, 10 Canadian, 4 Ontario, and 1 Toronto, by 10 Canadian composers.

Celebrate 90 Years Of World Class Dance At Wayne State University's December Dance Concert

The Maggie Allesee Department of Theatre and Dance, a program within the College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts at Wayne State University, is thrilled to kick off our year-long 90 Years of Dance at Wayne celebration with the annual December Dance Concert, December 7 and 8 at Detroit's Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts.  This year's show promises diverse and moving works showcasing highlights of dance through the decades. Dance students have the pleasure of working with a variety of talented artists, including invited guests, esteemed faculty, and talented student choreographers.

National Theatre Announces New Exhibition PLAYING WITH SCALE

This new free exhibition at the National Theatre explores how designers use set models for theatre-making. Playing with Scale unfolds the idea of a scale model and explains the importance of models as a design tool. The exhibition features model boxes from productions at the NT, archive materials, films, audio and photography.

TheatreLAB Presents A DOLL'S HOUSE Starring Katrinah Carol Lewis and Landon Nagel

TheatreLAB, Richmond's home for unexpected and evocative performance, is proud to present Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House, starring local favorites, Katrinah Carol Lewis and Landon Nagel.
