Citadel Extends JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT One Week

Citadel Theatre Company's November-December production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's musical JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT has been extended due to popular demand and will play an additional five performances, according to Citadel Artistic Director Scott Phelps. Originally scheduled to close on Sunday, December 23, the musical will now run through Sunday, December 30. The five extra performances will be Thursday, December 27 at 7:30 pm, Friday, December 28 at 7 pm, Saturday, December 29 at 1 and 7 pm, and the closing performance on Sunday, December 30 at 3 pm. JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT tells the Old Testament story of Joseph and his brothers through contemporary eyes with songs like "Any Dream Will Do" and "Close Every Door." AEA member J. P. Thomas plays Pharoah and Joseph's father Jacob. The production's Joseph is Jacob Barton. Jointly playing the Narrator at all performances are Carmen Risi and Laura Thoresen.

Appearing as Joseph's brothers are Marcellus Burt, Eric Deutz, Derek Fawcett, Peter Gertas, Ryan Jozaitis, Artem Lazarev, Brian Mengler, Shane Roberie, Kyle Ryan, Benjamin Salt, and Ryan Smetana. The ensemble includes Traci Cidlik, Lily Cox, Jenna Fawcett, Chamaya Moody, and Brittani Moore. Derek Fawcett also plays Potiphar and understudies the roles of Pharoah and Jacob. Jenna Fawcett plays Potiphar's wife and understudies the Narrator. Salt understudies Joseph. The children's chorus includes Emiko Chichester, Luke Chichester, Jocelyn Goldman, Ali Gregorio, Katie Henken, Hannah Prask, .Ethan Sitati, and Emma Sitati.

Two-time Jeff Award winner Ryan Brewster is Music Director and Jake Ganzer is choreographer. Also on the design and production team are 2018 Jeff Award winning scenic designer Eric Luchen, Sarah Lake Rayburn (costume design), Diane D. Fairchild (lighting design), Mark Holley (properties design), Bob Boxer (sound design), Nicole DelPizzo (scenic artist), Nick Peebles (production manager) and Samantha Tink (stage manager). Casting is by Robin Hughes, Metropolis Casting.
