Center Theatre Group has selected singers from across the greater Los Angeles area to perform as members of the church choir in the West Coast premiere of THE CHRISTIANS written by Lucas Hnath and directed by Les Waters. THE CHRISTIANS is presented by CTG and Playwrights Horizons at the Mark Taper Forum, December 2, 2015, through January 10, 2016. The opening is set for December 13.

Today's big news: The holiday season starts in earnest with A CHRISTMAS STORY and SCROOGE taking over theaters across the country, plus it's a big night for Broadway appearances on TV!

Scott Rudin and Barry Diller will present the Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes Artistic Director) production of Stephen Karam's much-raved-about new play, The Humans, on Broadway this season, following its smash-hit Off-Broadway engagement.  Directed by Tony Award winner Joe Mantello and featuring its entire acclaimed current Off-Broadway cast, The Humans will begin performances at Broadway's Helen Hayes Theatre (240 West 44th Street) on Saturday, January 23, 2016, and open officially on Thursday, February 18. 

Lincoln Center Theater's Platform Series, a forum for public discussion between Lincoln Center Theater artists and interested theatergoers, continues its 18th season on Friday, December 11 at 6pm with PATRICK BREEN and JOHN BENJAMIN HICKEY, the stars of LCT's current Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater production of DADA WOOF PAPA HOT, which began previews on Thursday, October 15, and opened on Monday, November 9.

SYLVIA, the Broadway revival of the play by two-time Pulitzer Prize-nomineeA.R. Gurney (The Dining Room, Love Letters) will end its limited-engagement on Sunday, January 3, 2016.  SYLVIA began previews on Friday, October 2ndand opened on Tuesday, October 27, 2015.  When it closes, SYLVIA will have played 79 performances and 27 previews.  SYLVIA is currently playing at The Cort Theatre (138 W. 48th Street). An interactive American Sign Language experience will be held at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre prior to the Tuesday, December 1st performance of Deaf West Theatre's acclaimed production of Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik's Spring Awakening, BroadwayWorld has confirmed. Producer and Deaf West Theatre Artistic Director D.J. Kurs, along with members of the cast, will lead an inside look into the process of translating the lyrics of Spring Awakening into American Sign Language. Signed words and lyrics from the show will be taught, followed by a sing- and sign-along.
