The national tour of the Broadway musical HAMILTON will play at DPAC in 2018 as part of SunTrust Broadway at DPAC, 2018 / 2019 Season, it was announced today by producer Jeffrey Seller and Nederlander. 

Broadway Grand Rapids next season begins with Broadway's biggest blockbuster WICKED, the untold story of the Witches of Oz on stage for an unprecedented 3 weeks at DeVos Performance Hall.  One of the most celebrated musicals in theatrical history, LES MISERABLES returns in November. 

In the title role is Damon Daunno, who was last seen playing 'Orpheus' in Anais Mitchell and Rachel Chavkin's Hadestown at New York Theatre Workshop. Daunno just chatted with BroadwayWorld about his latest role and you can check out the full interview below!

Love was in the air when a packed house celebrated Valentine's Day on opening night of THE BODYGUARD at the Ohio Theatre. Starting out with a bang (literally), Deborah Cox dominated the stage with her powerhouse voice and stunning presence as 'Rachel Marron', originally played by the late Whitney Houston in the feature film of the same name. But instead of embodying the fictional character Rachel Marron, this superstar channeled every nuance of legendary Whitney Houston in what felt more like a tribute concert to the late, great diva. In fact, it felt more like an actual concert by Whitney herself -- So much so, that during one of her climactic moments, someone in the audience even shouted, 'Whitney's in the house!'

One would assume that Mark Twain would have been amused that his 1884 novel condemning America's history of enslavement of Africans, 'Adventures of Huckleberry Finn,' has occasionally been condemned itself as racist literature for its realistic use of a certain slur.

Roundabout Theatre Company presents the world-premiere production of On the Exhale by Martin Zimmerman (Netflix's Narcos), directed by Tony Award nominee Leigh Silverman (Roundabout's Violet). This is the second play in Roundabout Underground's newly expanded two-play season, following Kingdom Come by Jenny Rachel Weinerlast fall. Celebrated Tony Award nominee and Obie Award-winning actress Marin Ireland (reasons to be pretty) stars in this solo play - scroll down for a first look at her in action!

Based on the best-selling book of the same name, THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME debuted in London in 2012 and went on to win a slew of awards as well as capture the respect of experts in set and lighting design for creating a world that perfectly captures the mind of a hyper-sensitive teen.  There is something so unique and magical about this production that the audience really feels like they are experiencing it, rather than merely viewing.  Compared to the traditional Broadway musical, this is a wholly different type of play that seems at the outset like it shouldn't work, but actually succeeds in surprising and touching ways.
