HAMILTON's Celebrated Education Program Makes History Today

The innovative educational program that launched in 2016 at HAMILTON on Broadway, and has subsequently debuted in Chicago and San Francisco, will make history on April 26, 2017 when more than 5,000 students and teachers from Title 1 schools attend matinee performances of the musical at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on Broadway, The PrivateBank Theatre in Chicago and at the Orpheum Theater in San Francisco.

John Guare's Six Degrees of Separation, starring seven-time Emmy Award winner Allison Janney ('Mom,' The Girl on the Train), Tony Award winner John Benjamin Hickey (The Normal Heart, 'Manhattan') and Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton, '24: Legacy') opens tonight at the Barrymore Theatre. Directed by Trip Cullman (Significant Other, Yen), Six Degrees of Separation will play a 15-week run through Sunday, July 16.

The latest musical to grace the stage at Syracuse's Landmark Theatre is the U.S. tour of the jukebox musical Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. Featuring a book by Douglas McGrath it showcases the early life and career of singer and songwriter Carole King. The music and lyrics featured in the production are by Carole King and Gerry Goffin, along with other top hits written by Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil.

The Bodyguard the Musical is based off of the 1992 film, which starred Houston and Kevin Costner. It ran in London's West End from December 2012-August 2014 and the North American tour began in November 2016.

History had its eyes on thousands of students last Wednesday when they arrived at SHN's Orpheum Theatre for the second San Francisco EduHam. Fourteen high schools participated in the April 12th program, with groups of one to three students from each school given the opportunity to "tell their story" on the Orpheum stage.
