The Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) announced today that tickets for the 2017/18 Broadway, Theatre Company, Cabaret, Off-Center and Education shows as well as all Fall/Winter classes will be available to the general public Today, August 11 at 10 a.m. at denvercenter.org.

The Broadway blockbuster Wicked just welcomed new cast members to the Gershwin Theatre last week. Jackie Burns makes her long-awaited return to the Gershwin Theatre and the role of Elphaba for the first time since 2013, having recently concluded her starring run in the national tour of If/Then, of which she was also an original Broadway company member. She also played the role of Elphaba on the national tour of Wicked, where her performance received an Irene Award nomination.

PBS previously announced that sometime this fall, it would present the recent Broadway revival of FALSETTOS. Today, the network revealed that the broadcast will air this October as part of its LIVE FROM LINCOLN CENTER series.

The Public Theater is currently presenting its Free Shakespeare in the Park production of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, directed by Lear deBessonet with choreography by Chase Brock. Broadway's Kate Shindle---currently traveling the country playing Allison Bechdel in the first national tour of the Tony Award-winning musical FUN HOME---is not only an accomplished singer, actor and dancer, she is also a published author and an outspoken activist. In 2015, Shindle was also elected president of Actors' Equity Association. Theatre production company Parity Productions has released its monthly list of Qualifying Productions for August - their popular directory of New York City shows in which the individual creative teams include 50% women and transgender artists (directors, designers, and playwrights).
