Segerstrom Center for the Arts is pleased to bring the second of two brand new Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals to Orange County: School of Rock - The Musical. Following two weeks of packed houses for Webber's Love Never Dies, this high-octane Broadway and West End hit comes to Segerstrom Hall July 24 - August 5, 2018. This hilarious musical features all the original songs from the 2003 film plus 14 new songs written specially for the show by Andrew Lloyd Webber and musical theater's first-ever all-kids rock band.
Continuing the countrywide search for the opportunity to 'join the band', further kids open auditions will take place later this year in London on 16 and 17 May for musicians and on 21 and 23 May for ensemble, in Plymouth on 8 September and in Manchester on 22 September 2018. Andrew Lloyd Webber's smash hit School of Rock - The Musical will welcome eight new cast members to the national tour on Tuesday, March 13, 2018. Rocking their way across the country will be Alyssa Emily Marvin as Marcy, Grier Burke as Tomika, Vincent Molden as Zack, Huxley Westemeier as Billy and Iara Nemirovsky as Summer. The 2018/19 Mirvish season will feature six Canadian premieres, one North American premiere, one pre-Broadway engagement and five new productions. A total of 16 shows will play at Mirvish theatres from June 2018 to July 2019. The main subscription season will feature seven shows and the Off-Mirvish season three shows. There will be six bonus shows that will not be on subscription.
