White Sand Entertainment (Ken Denison, executive producer) announces GOOD OL' GIRLS, a new musical set to open Off-Broadway, at the Black Box Theatre at The Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues) on Sunday, February 14th.

The Miami Herald reports that Miami producer and former director of Miami's Coconut Grove Playhouse, Arnold Mittelman, who ran Miami's Coconut Grove Playhouse from 1985 until it's closing in 2006 is planning the first Broadway revival of The Rothschilds, a 1970 musical written by Sherman Yellen and featuring a score by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick.

This January, the Fox Valley Area will receive a full offering of musical tributes and Chicago comedies from Noble Fool Theatricals as they present: the longest running solo play in Broadway history, Defending the Caveman, a showcase of the Eagle's greatest hits with Heartache Tonight, Chicago's favorite couple, Tony n' Tina's Wedding, the tropical Jimmy Buffet tribute Johnny Russler and the Beach Bum Band, a musical tribute to songwriter Neil Diamond, Denny Diamond, a weekend of the #1 Beatles band, American English, and national comedian Mike Toomey's narrative comedy, TV & ME at Pheasant Run Resort (4051 E. Main St., St. Charles, IL; 630-584-6342).

Tickets are now on sale for the Timothy B. Schmit concert at Triple Door, presented by Seattle Theatre Group. The show is on December 9, 2009 at 8PM.

Tupelo Community Theatre will present award winning songwriter Mac McAnally in concert December 3rd at 7:30 p.m. at the Lyric Theatre in Downtown Tupelo. Busted Screen Door Unplugged of Tupelo will open the concert.
