Blue Note Hawaii, the state's premier venue for the world's most celebrated artists, is honored to shine the spotlight on local, Hawaii-based artists this spring with upcoming shows featuring award-winning artists such as Kalapana, Robert Cazimero, Willie K, and The Rough Riders. Expanding its commitment to showcase local artists and stars of the Hawaii music industry, Blue Note Hawaii begins a series of one-night only performances featuring Ginai on April 11, Natalie Ai Kamauu on April 18, the incomparable Willie K on April 19, trumpeter Mike Lewis on May 2 and Hiroshima-known for their unique East Meets West contemporary jazz sound-from April 26 to May 1.

Producers Frank Marshall, Mindy Rich, Anita Waxman, and Beth Williams announced today that the new musical featuring the songs of legendary singer-songwriter-author Jimmy Buffett, with an original story by co-book writers Greg Garcia and Mike O'Malley, will have its world premiere at La Jolla Playhouse in La Jolla, California. Directed by Tony Award® nominee and Playhouse Artistic Director Christopher Ashley, the strictly limited engagement will kick off the Playhouse's 2017/2018 season, with performances beginning on May 16, 2017, an official opening night of May 28, and will play through June 25, 2017. Tony Award nominee Christopher Ashley will direct the production, which will open on May 16, 2017.

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to continue rekindling the popular "Fireside Sessions with Nancy Atlas and a special guest" this January. After sold out concerts in January and March this past year, the 2016 January concerts will again feature a special guest for each show every Saturday of the month. All concerts start at 8 pm. Singer/songwriter Jimmy Buffett will make a special live appearance from his concert at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2016." Buffett will bring everyone to a "Margaritaville" state of mind as he performs his timeless song right after the ball drops at midnight, ringing in the start of 2016. The full evening will include over 38 performances and five-and-a-half hours of music. America's biggest celebration of the year will take place on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 31 beginning at 8 p.m., EST/PST, on the ABC Television Network.
