MusicWorks is kicking-off a six-concert CLASSIC FOLK & ROCK SERIES next month at Old School Square's Crest Theatre, which is located at 51 North Swinton Avenue in Delray Beach (one block north of Atlantic Avenue).

Bay Street Theater and Dan's Papers are pleased to present the rekindling of the popular 'Fireside Sessions with Nancy Atlas and a special guest' this January. Due to the snow storm, the January 7 concert with Clark Gayton was rescheduled to Sunday, January 8 at 7 pm. Ticket holders can just bring their January 7 ticket to the January 8 concert or call the box office to reschedule the tickets to either January 14, 21 or 28. These dates will remain at 8 pm. There is also a new date added with Nancy Atlas and Clark Gayton for Thursday, March 23 at 8 pm.

It's been long rumored with teases back as early as 2015 that Andrew Lloyd Webber's PHANTOM sequel was heading our way. Last Spring, the legendary composer revealed in a feature for BuzzFeed that THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA follow-up will 'make its way to Washington, D.C. next year.'

Today, BBVA Compass Broadway at the Hobby Center announced its line-up of shows for the new 2017-2018 season.  HAMILTON will play its Houston engagement April 24-May 20, 2018, and anchor the BBVA Compass Broadway Season with five other shows, all of which will be Houston premieres. 

The producers of Escape to Margaritaville announced today that the new musical featuring the songs of legendary singer-songwriter-author Jimmy Buffett, will premiere in New Orleans, LA and will play Houston, TX in 2017 as part of the production's pre-Broadway tour before sailing into Broadway in the Spring of 2018.

After sold out concerts in January for the past few years, the 2017 January concerts will again feature a special guest for each show every Saturday of the month. All concerts start at 8 pm. Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, has announced the recipients of the third round of the 2016 Edgerton Foundation New Play Awards. The awards, totaling $669,000, allow 16 productions extra time in the development and rehearsal of new plays with the entire creative team, helping to extend the life of the play after its first run.

Broadway Across Canada announced today that individual tickets for the Winnipeg premiere of Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage will go on sale Monday December 12 at 10am.

Ukulele superstar Jake Shimabukuro's tour will stop at Kleinhans Music Hall on at 8 p.m. Nov. 17. Last year, Shimabukuro performed the US Mainland premiere of Byron Yasui's Ukulele Concerto with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra to great acclaim and positive audience response.
