Famed violinist Itzhak Perlman returns to the Hollywood Bowl, this time with his Eternal Echoes program, tonight, August 20, at 8 pm. Australian rock star Jimmy Barnes has confirmed plans for his family to help flood affected Australians by donating proceeds from the sales of an exclusive new album called 'Floodlight' to be donated to the Queensland Premier's Flood Relief Appeal.

Australian actor/singer/director David Campbell, whose recent CD On Broadway is fast approaching international success, was in New York this past weekend as an ambassador for G'Day USA and to promote his family album Floodlight to be released in stores in Australia February 1 and already a hit on iTunes. The album is a $4.95 contribution to aid the flood victims in Australia. In our conversation Campbell talks about the album, his background and his busy schedule in Australia as artistic director of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival.

The 2009 Helpmann Awards® Ceremony will be held next Monday 27 July at 6.30pm at Opera Theatre, Sydney Opera House, whilst the After Party will be held at The Argyle in The Rocks. Jonathan Biggins and Julia Zemiro, both acclaimed actors, broadcasters and comedians, will jointly MC the Awards Ceremony. After a successful opening weekend for the Adelaide Cabaret Festival, with the Variety Gala on Friday night and the incredible performance of Broadway headliner Bernadette Peters, audiences were left wanting more.

Robyn Nevin AM and the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Maestro Arvo Volmer, will present a stirring tribute to President-elect Barack Obama in New York City on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 8PM at Carnegie Hall - following the inauguration of the 44th President earlier that day. The performance will be a feature of the Australia Plays Broadway concert being presented as part of G?Day USA: Australia Week 2009. Widely regarded as the first lady of the Australian stage, Robyn Nevin will deliver the spoken word component of Aaron Copland?s Lincoln Portrait, to be performed by the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Arvo Volmer. Copland?s emotionally charged composition features extracts from President Abraham Lincoln?s letters and speeches, most notably the Gettysburg Address. One of the most quoted speeches in United States history, the Gettysburg Address was delivered by Lincoln in 1863 at the dedication of the Soldiers? National Cemetery in Gettysburg Pennsylvania. With the Civil War in progress, the two-minute speech invoked the principles of human equality espoused by the Declaration of Independence.
