The Flea Theater has announced a two-week extension of its critically acclaimed limited engagement of OFFICE HOURS, by A.R. Gurney, directed by Jim Simpson and featuring The Bats, The Flea's resident company of actors. Originally scheduled to close October 24, performances will now run through November 7, 2010 at The Flea.

This year, The Carol Tambor Best of Edinburgh Award goes to OVID'S METAMORPHOSES, adapted and directed by Peter Bramley with original music by Lucy Egger. The production is from the acclaimed London-based company Pants On Fire. The Carol Tambor Theatrical Foundation will present the winning production at the Obie and Drama Desk Award-winning The Flea Theater in January 2011.

Moses is the author of The Four of Us, Bach at Leipzig, Back Back Back and Celebrity Row, a playwright whose sensibility has proven to be a perfect match for The Bats, The Flea's resident company of emerging artists. The production, which began performances on January 29, has been extended for an additional 4 weeks. The new closing date is now April 25.

Commissioned by The Flea in 2006, the piece marks Swados return to The Flea, where she previously wrote, composed and directed the long-running hit JABU. Performances of KASPAR HAUSER begin previews on February 13th, with opening night set for February 28th.

The production, directed by Flea Artistic Director Jim Simpson, marks the fifth collaboration between Gurney and The Flea.
