In partnership with No Limits for Deaf Children, Geffen Playhouse will host a one-night-only Spotlight Entertainment fundraising performance of A Special Evening with Jay Leno and Friends today, May 23 at 8:00 pm in the Gil Cates Theater at the Geffen Playhouse.

The new Broadway comedy An Act of God, starring Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Jim Parsons, began performances on May 7, and officially opens on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Studio 54 (254 West 54th Street). Joining Parsons will be two-time Tony Award nominee Christopher Fitzgerald (Finian's Rainbow, Young Frankenstein) as 'Michael' & Tim Kazurinsky ('SNL', Police Academy) as 'Gabriel'. An Act of God is written by God, transcribed by 13-time Emmy Award winner David Javerbaum and directed by Tony Award winner Joe Mantello. Big-name stars, blockbuster musicals, riveting revivals and brand new dramas: "Broadway Backstage: Spring Preview" gives you a taste of them all.  This half-hour special airs on Saturday, May 30th at 7pm and is hosted by WABC-TV's Reporter/Anchor, Michelle Charlesworth and James Monroe Iglehart, the Genie in Disney's Aladdin, for which he won the 2014 Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical. 

NBC has announced that the cast of Broadway's ON THE TOWN will perform live on the plaza on Monday May 18th.

Northlight Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans, announces the cast for the World Premiere of Bruce Graham's Funnyman, kicking off Northlight's 41st Season. The cast includes George Wendt, Tim Kazurinsky, Amanda Drinkall, Steve Haggard, Rob Lindley and an additional role to be announced. Funnyman, directed by BJ Jones and developed through Northlight's Interplay series, runs September 11-October 18, 2015 at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd in Skokie.
