American Theater Company proudly announces a partnership with Black Box Acting Studio to present Unplugged, a summer repertory of three new plays.

Kleiser discussed the new 'Grease: Sing-A-Long' ('Now it's slick and revamped and pretty amazing'), his surprise at the film's enduring popularity ('a movie we made as a summertime treat for kids in the '70s has endured with audiences around the world for over 30 years'), and the new songs that were written for the film ('The original finale was a song called ‘All Shook Up,' which didn't really go anywhere, but once I heard ‘You're the One That I Want,' I knew we had something that would really land big'), among other topics. 'Grease Sing-Along,' the sing-along version of the hit movie musical, will be released to select theatres on July 8. These will include theatres in Ocala, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Boston, Dallas, Seattle, Miami, San Diego, Austin, and Atlanta. The film will also be shown at the Hollywood Bowl, where it will debut on June 25, as previously reported on BroadwayWorld.

Rydell High hits the Upper West Side on Wednesday June 30 at 8:30 PM, with a newly-restored print of the classic high school musical GREASE, the 1978 hit movie version of one of Broadway's long-running musicals, starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John.

Grease celebrates its third electrifying Birthday this July with a new leading lady. The producers announced that Lauren Samuels will join the cast of the smash-hit musical on 26 July 2010. Making her West End debut, Lauren will star in the iconic role of 'Sandy' until 22 January 2011 at London's Piccadilly Theatre. Noel Sullivan will continue as 'Danny' and Siubhan Harrison will also join the show in the role of 'Rizzo'.

The Willows Theatre Company announces its 34th season with six mainstage productions running August 24, 2009 through May 30, 2010 at the Willows Theatre, 1975 Diamond Boulevard in Concord, CA. The national tour of the hit Broadway show GREASE will play its final performance on May 23rd in Cleveland. The tour was originally supposed to hold a limited run in Boston; however, that run has been canceled. The tour will play Cleveland's Palace Theatre from May 11th through the 23rd.
