The EMMY-nominated animated children's series DINOSAUR TRAIN will premiere the new 'Big Big Dinosaur Week' episodes beginning today, August 13 on PBS KIDS to explore the largest of the dinosaur species from different time periods. Encore broadcasts will run from August 17 to 19th (check local listings).

Rogue Machine is extending Enda Walsh's THE NEW ELECTRIC BALLROOM. Beginning August 10th and running 8pm Fridays, 5pm Saturdays, 7pm Sundays, and 8pm Mondays, the show will now close on September 2nd with a 3pm and 7pm show on that Sunday only.

Avenue Q is edgy, sassy and an exciting change in the Barn's typical lineup. If you think it's sizzling outside these days, wait until you see the cast burning up the stage in one of the hottest musicals to hit Broadway. Opening night is Friday August 10th and the show runs through Saturday August 25th. The Kelsey Kids Series offers 12 productions featuring traveling professional companies and local troupes, in fun family shows like "Charlotte's Web" and "Cinderella." Grab your lunchbox, roll up your sleeves and pour yourself a cup of ambition for the Long Island premiere of Dolly Parton's "9 to 5: The Musical," tonight, July 18-Aug. 4 at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts."9 to 5: The Musical" is adapted from the 1980 film of the same name, which features Parton, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin as three working-class friends who stage an unorthodox corporate takeover of their greedy, sexist boss.

I am not given to gushing but, with apologies for doing so, I am about to gush. You see, on Saturday evening, I felt very privileged. For on that night, I went to Las Vegas' gorgeous Smith Center for the Arts and saw Stephen Sondheim: A Life In The Theater, An Evening of Music and Conversation.

NBC will launch NBC Kids, a new Saturday morning programming block designed specifically to address the developmental needs of preschool-aged children, premiering today, July 7. Programmed by the kids experts at Sprout, the nation's first 24-hour preschool television channel, this new three-hour block will feature educational series that promote active, healthy lifestyles for younger children.

William Schermerhorn has won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Original Song that was perfomed in 85th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on NBC, called (Won't You) Join Our Parade. The Emmy award winning song (Won't You) Join Our Parade was performed by Stage Door Manor and written by composer, Doug Katsaros and lyricist, William Schermerhorn.
