New York Stage and Film and Vassar College, this summer celebrating the 30th year of their Powerhouse Theater collaboration, are pleased to announce the three new works that will be featured on the Mainstage during the 2014 Powerhouse Theater Season, running from June 20 to July 27 at Vassar College (Poughkeepsie, New York). Syfy's Tuesday night of reality featuring Face Off and Jim Henson's Creature Shop Challenge is just around the corner.

Having gotten his television start on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, where he was a regular correspondent for five years, humorist, journalist and actor Mo Rocca is best known for his offbeat news reports and satirical commentary. Currently a correspondent for CBS Sunday Morning with Charles Osgood, Rocca is also a panelist on NPR's hit weekly quiz show Wait, Wait...Don't Tell Me! and the host and creator of the Cooking Channel's My Grandmother's Ravioli, in which he learns to cook from grandmothers and grandfathers across the country. Mo will be the featured guest in an insightful and humorous conversation at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Saturday, May 3, at 7:30 p.m. After the on-stage interview, the audience gets to ask Mo what they have always wanted to...on most anything! Bissell House (378 Main St., Ridgefield) will pour a free glass of house wine or draught beer with dinner the night of this show when tickets/stubs are presented. Excitement and pride will soon fill the air when more than 1500 students from 43 elementary and middle schools across the area participate in Blumenthal Performing Arts' annual Broadway Junior Theater Celebration over the course of three days, April 7-9.

Seacoast Repertory Theatre has announced that Let's 'B' Reel: Cult Classic Films presents a very special screening of Labyrinth (1986) March 14, 8p.m. This cult classic comes to life with full audience participation, masquerade ball, costume contest and a special pre-show by Lady Luck Burlesque. Patrons are encouraged to dress up as their favorite characters from the film, or in their 'most regal attire', sing along and participate ala 'Rocky Horror'.
