Late-night leader "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" is kicking off the fall season with a Sept. 8-11 lineup chock full of musical superstars as well as a certain presidential candidate making a few headlines these days.

Eddie Cooper and Joe Grifasi join Ellen Greene, Jake Gyllenhaal and Taran Killam in the Encores! Off-Center concert production of Howard Ashman and Alan Menken's LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, running for three performances, tonight, July 1, and tomorrow, July 2, 2015 at New York City Center.

Off-Center concert production of Howard Ashman and Alan Menken's Little Shop of Horrors, running for three performances, July 1-2, 2015 at New York City Center. Eddie Cooper replaces his father Chuck Cooper, who will be starring in the upcoming Broadway musical Amazing Grace.

Jake Gyllenhaal, Chuck Cooper and Taran Killam will join the previously announced Ellen Greene in the Encores! Off-Center concert production ofHoward Ashman and Alan Menken's Little Shop of Horrors, running July 1-2, 2015. NOTE: A third performance has been added at 2pm on Thursday, July 2 in order to meet ticket demand. The production will be directed by Dick Scanlan, with choreography by Patricia Wilcox. Jeanine Tesori is the Artistic Director of Encores! Off-Center, and Chris Fenwick is Music Director. The show will mark the musical theater debuts of both Gyllenhaal and Killam.

It's been almost ten years since the Wildcats first crowded the halls of East High School, singing of a new start, the status quo, and of course, the big game. The first of three HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL movies debuted on January 20, 2006, quickly becoming the most successful Disney Channel Original Movie ever produced. Launching the careers of a then-unknown set of teenagers, lots has happened to the cast since the last film wrapped in 2008. Much of the cast has continued in the musical tradition of the trilogy, taking on various roles in other musicals on stage and screen. Later this Spring, Vanessa Hudgens will become the second of the group to make her Broadway debut, as the title character in Gigi. The perennial LA cult favorite returns to the Los Angeles LGBT Center's Renberg Theatre for two hilarious nights only, tonight, March 14 at 8pm and Sunday, March 15 at 7pm.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Nicole Scherzinger just made her West End stage debut as 'Grizabella' in Andrew Lloyd Webber's record-breaking musical Cats, and according to a recent interview with the Daily Mail, Webber has plans to bring the show (and his new star) to Broadway. He told DM: 'Cats will now definitely go to Broadway again. It's very exciting.' On Scherzinger's future involvement, he added: 'I would very greatly hope she would do it. To do something like that in America would open up a billion doors for her.'He continued: 'She is what you might call an American theatre babe. I do believe she is the most exciting musical theatre artist I have found - well, that I have worked with - in very, very many years. I really do.' The Kansas City Theater League presents Chicago at the Kauffman Performing Arts Center January 20 through January 25. The musical with music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and a book by Bob Fosse and Ebb is set in Prohibition-era Chicago. It is the tale of two women in the Cook County Jail charged with murder, both fighting for fame that may keep them from the gallows. The interview with Terra C. MacLeod who plays Velma Kelly in the popular musical is courtesy of the Theater League.
