Louise Roe Replaces Elle McPherson as FASHION STAR Host

Deadline Hollywood has reported that British fashion journalist/TV presenter Louise Roe will replace Elle Macpherson as host of Fashion Star the upcoming second season on NBC. You may know Roe as a fashion editor-at-large for Glamour and as the host of CW's makeover series Plain Jane, which is in its third season on MTV International, and has regular fashion segments on Access Hollywood. She also co-hosted the Royal Wedding for E!, co-hosted MTV International's live red-carpet coverage from the VMAs, Movie Awards and EMA's, and co-anchored ABC's Oscars coverage. In the UK, she hosted BBC's The Clothes Show.

Last night on NBC's FASHION STAR, the remaining designers were paired off with celebrity mentors Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie and John Varvatos who then chose what each of them would construct for the week. Four designers were successful in creating garments that America's top three retailers: Macy's, H&M and Saks Fifth Avenue were interested in purchasing.

Last night on NBC's FASHION STAR, the remaining designers were challenged to expand their brands by creating clothes outside of their comfort zones. Five of the designers' garments were successful in pushing the boundaries and were purchased by three of America's top retailers: Macy's, H&M and Saks Fifth Avenue.
