70 contestants still remain at the start of tonight's AMERICAN IDOL episode, and they'll be headed to Las Vegas to sing the music of the 1950s and 60s in groups for a chance to be one of the 40 who will continue on the singing competition.
This week on AMERICAN IDOL, the 185 remaining contestants are to be whittled down with both group numbers and solo performances. As the groups prepare to perform, some singers oversleep while others are ill-prepared, some are just ill, and still more are fighting with their own group.
