Rubicon Theatre, a not-for-profit professional regional theatre company in Ventura, California, announces its production of WEST SIDE STORY (Book by ARTHUR LAURENTS, Music by LEONARD BERNSTEIN, Lyrics by STEPHEN SONDHEIM), to be performed by the students of the Education Department's MUSICAL THEATRE INTENSIVE, featuring at twenty-one piece orchestra conducted by DANIEL NEWMAN-LESSLER. This production is directed by BRIAN McDONALD, Musical Direction by MIRIAM ARICHEA and choreography is by CAROLANNE MARANO. Set and lights are designed by David King. Production Manager is Jessie Vacchiano, Stage Manager is Jon Stover.

Surprise! This brand new, non-equity national tour of GUYS AND DOLLS---currently onstage at Orange County's Segerstrom Center for the Arts for a limited week-long run through April 19---is a winning, nicely-nicely done charmer. Of course, it helps a lot that this traveling production comes equipped with Broadway-caliber sets and costumes and, most satisfying of all, a really talented, engaging ensemble cast.

Christopher Swan leads the cast of the 2014 - 2015 National Tour of GUYS AND DOLLS in the role of the infamous crap-shooter Nathan Detroit. Swan joins Lauren Weinberg as Detroit's long-suffering fiancee of fourteen years, Miss Adelaide, Matthew J. Taylor as the charming and slick gambler Sky Masterson, and Kayleen Seidl as the upright, but uptight 'mission doll,' Sarah Brown. This holiday season, Rubicon Theatre creates fun for the whole family with the Tiny Tots Holiday Concert, Party and Santa Photos. Featuring Rubicon's Merry Elves with special guests Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman, a talented cast of local teens rings in the season with holiday tunes and a sing-a-long for the entire family. Following the performance the fun continues in Santa's Wonderland at Rubicon where photos can be taken with Santa, Frosty, Rudolph and the cast while enjoying hot chocolate and cookies.

With direction by Brian McDonald, musical direction by Miriam Arichea and choreography by Carolanne Marano, The Drowsy Chaperone features over 25 local youth performers in a production well suited for children, adults and families. Opening today, August 13th and running through Saturday, August 16th, performances of The Drowsy Chaperone begin at 7 p.m. on Wednesday and continue 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Thursday, 8 p.m. on Friday, and 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturday.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey launches its 2012 milestone 50th Anniversary season with William Shakespeare's saga of a young prince's reformation and ascent to manhood - Henry IV, Part One. Considered one of Shakespeare's most popular history plays, this rousing tale has not been produced on The Shakespeare Theatre stage in 20 years. Henry IV, Part One begins performances tonight, May 30 and runs through June 24 at the Theatre's Main Stage - the F. M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre.
