Millennium Park will round out its fall and winter theater season with Poland's ground-breaking Teatr Zar and the U.S. premiere of Caesarean Section at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion from November 12-14, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. Audiences will have a chance to experience this compelling production from intimate seating on the stage behind the Jay Pritzker Pavilion's glass doors.

Village Players Theater is proud to announce two new Educational Opportunities housed under the Village Players Training Center: Village Players Youth Training Center and Village Players Professional Training Center. This fall the Village Players Professional Training Center will be offering Weekend Intensive Workshops at Village Players Performing Arts Center on Sundays in November and December from 9am-2pm for Adults. There will also be accompanying Weekend Intensive Workshops for Teens offered through the Village Players Youth Training Center in 'Mastering the Audition Process' and 'Off of the Page and Onto the Stage: A Shakespeare Intensive'. Cost is $75 per Adult Intensive; $50 per Teen Intensive.

Conceived, written, and directed by the legendary Ellen Stewart, AESCULAPIUS tells how the son of sun god Apollo and mortal maiden Coronis transcends to his rightful place in the heavens because of his great work in medicine. It is believed that Aesculapius' story has never before been told on stage.
