The international hit play FREUD'S LAST SESSION by Mark St. Germain is set to begin performances tomorrow, March 21st at the Mercury Theater in Chicago for a limited engagement through June 15th. The Chicago debut of FREUD'S LAST SESSION stars the original New York cast: Mark H. Dold as C. S. Lewis and Martin Rayner as Sigmund Freud. Winner of the 2011 Off Broadway Alliance Award for Best Play,FREUD'S LAST SESSION is currently in its second smash year at NYC's New World Stages (340 West 50th Street) and stars George Morfogen and Jim Stanek.
Fred Weintraub, The Bitter End Founder, to Visit NYC to Promote Memoir, 3/29 - 4/5

Fred Weintraub, an 85-year-old Bronx native, who has spent more than 50 years in the entertainment business, is coming to NYC March 29 - April 5, to promote his new memoir, 'Bruce Lee, Woodstock and Me.' The founder of the Greenwich Village nightclub The Bitter End (which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year), began his adventurous life in the Fort Apache section of The Bronx, after which it took him to Greenwich Village and the founding of the world famous Bitter End, where he launched the careers of such famous entertainers as Woody Allen, Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara, Joan Rivers, Billy Crystal, Bill Cosby, Judy Collins, Peter, Paul and Mary, Dustin Hoffman, Carly Simon, David Amram, and Neil Diamond, among others, and then out West to Hollywood where he discovered Bruce Lee and produced 'Enter The Dragon,' and then produced the original Woodstock movie and 40 more films with stars such as Steve McQueen, George C. Scott, Robert Duvall. Karen Dunst and dozens of others.

There are only three performances remaining to catch the original cast of FREUD'S LAST SESSION before they head to Chicago to star in the Midwest premiere of Mark St. Germain's smash hit play. Mark H. Dold and Martin Rayner opened in the Off-Broadway production of FREUD'S LAST SESSION on July 22, 2010 to rave reviews, immediately becoming a sellout sensation and winning the 2011 Off-Broadway Alliance Award for Best Play. Dold and Rayner will depart for Chicago after Thursday's performance and George Morfogen and Jim Stanek will assume the roles of Sigmund Freud and C. S. Lewis respectively this Friday, March 16th at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street). The Chicago production is set to begin performances March 21st at the Mercury Theater.

MCC THEATER has announced fabulous additions to their all-star line-up for the company's highly anticipated annual gala. Complimenting the glittering, previously announced Miscast will be Josh Gad ("Modern Family," The Book of Mormon), Norm Lewis (The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess), Jan Maxwell (Follies, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang), Rory O'Malley (The Book of Mormon) and Nicole Parker ("Mad TV," a Miscast favorite returning for her 4th time). MCC THEATER has just announced another all-star line-up for the company's highly anticipated annual gala, to be held Monday, March 26, 2012 at The Hammerstein Ballroom (311 West 34th Street). Miscast 2012 will honor the creators of Carrie, Academy Award-winning composer Michael Gore (Fame, Terms of Endearment), Academy Award-winning lyricist Dean Pitchford (Fame, Footloose) and Writer Lawrence D. Cohen (screenwriter of the classic film, Carrie) for their bold, daring, risk-taking spirit. Larry Josephson has been making trouble on the radio since 1966, starting as WBAI's infamous grumpy morning man. The competition, John Gambling and his ilk, were pushing oleaginous treacle on morning radio. Larry broke all the rules of radio: he ate his breakfast on the air, insulted listeners at a time when Howard Stern was crawling around Levittown in leather diapers. He told the story of his life on the radio, or as much as the FCC and the libel laws would allow.
