MCC Theater has announced the complete cast for the newly reworked and fully re-imagined production of Carrie, the musical. Carrie features music by Michael Gore, lyrics by Dean Pitchford (Academy Award winning composer and lyricist for the original film Fame) and a book by Lawrence D. Cohen (who also adapted the 1974 novel by Stephen King for the 1976 Brian DePalma film). Directed by Stafford Arima, performances for Carrie begin January 31, 2012, at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC). The official opening night is set for March 1, 2012.

Two time Tony Award-winning Goodspeed Musicals, under the leadership of Executive Director Michael P. Price, announced the 2012 musical season at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Conn. The 49th season includes three outstanding musicals that are sure to delight theatregoers: the bold and brassy Mame will run from April 20 - July 1; Rodgers and Hammerstein's Carousel will run from July 13 - September 23; and an exciting fall musical to be announced which will run from October 5 - December 9.

Conceived and directed by 9 time Tony-winner Tommy Tune and written by Mark Saltzman, FIFTY FOUR FOREVER, is currently receiving its world premiere at The University of Miami's Jerry Herman Ring Theatre, from November 9 to 19. South Florida theatre audiences are the first to experience this exciting new musical and so far, they've all been raving about the production.
