COSTA MESA, CA-One of Broadway's most talked about newer musicals and the biggest Tony® Award-winner in years is coming to the Orange County Performing Arts Center. Spring Awakening, the eight-time Tony-Award winning Broadway show, will visit Segerstrom Hall for a two-week engagement November 17 - 29. Spring Awakening swept the 2007 Tony Awards winning eight out of its 11 nominations, including Best Musical, Best Director (Michael Mayer), Best Book (Steven Sater), Best Choreography (Bill T. Jones), Best Orchestrations (Duncan Sheik), Best Lighting Design (Kevin Adams) and Best Featured Actor (John Gallagher, Jr.).

The Broadway transfer of Steppenwolf's new American play 'Superior Donuts' at the Music Box Theatre celebrated its official opening night on Thursday, October 1, 2009 to superior reviews. The producers of HAIR have announced the addition of Vanessa Ray to the 'Tribe.' Ray, making her Broadway debut, temporarily replaces Allison Case in the role of 'Crissy' until January 2010. HAIR began preview performances on March 6 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre and opened to rave reviews on March 31, 2009. Winner of the 2009 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical, the Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle also honored the production with their 2009 award for Outstanding Revival of a Musical.

In an unprecedented move, the producers of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical have announced they are canceling the show's Sunday, October 11th performance so that the entire cast can join the National Equality March in Washington, D.C. The announcement was made this evening by the cast of HAIR at a spirited rally in Los Angeles (the entire company of HAIR has traveled from New York to California to appear on tonight's broadcast of 'The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien').
