San Francisco's 42nd Street Moon presents its first 2019 production, the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical FIORELLO! Based on the life of New York City's legendary mayor Fiorello H. LaGuardia, FIORELLO! features lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, and music by Jerry Bock (SHE LOVES ME, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF) and a book by Jerome Weidman and George Abbott (THE PAJAMA GAME, DAMN YANKEES). 42nd Street Moon's production of FIORELLO! runs from February 27 - March 17, 2019 and will perform at San Francisco's Gateway Theatre (215 Jackson St, San Francisco, CA 94111). San Francisco's 42nd Street Moon (Daren A.C. Carollo and Daniel Thomas, Co-Executive Directors) has announced the full cast and creative team for Moon's first 2019 production, the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical FIORELLO!

It was just announced by Pulitzer Prize Administrator Dana Canedy that Martyna Majok's COST OF LIVING has officially won the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

San Francisco's 42nd Street Moon (Daren A.C. Carollo and Daniel Thomas, Co-Executive Directors), currently celebrating its 25thAnniversary in continuous operation, has announced the show titles for its upcoming 2018-2019 season. The 2018-2019 season will include THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS (October 3 - 21, 2018), DAMES AT SEA (November 28 - December 16, 2018), FIORELLO! (February 27 - March 17, 2019), 110 IN THE SHADE(April 24 - May 12, 2019), ONCE (June 12 - 30, 2019) and THE OLDEST LIVING CATER WAITER (performances begin June 23, 2019).

Just last month, industry-only staged reading of the 1962 musical I Can Get It For You Wholesale, based on the best-selling Jerome Weidman novel on Tuesday, June 6th. The musical has a score by Harold Rome (Fanny, Wish You Were Here, Destry Rides Again), book by Jerome Weidman (Fiorello!), revised book by John Weidman (Assassins, Pacific Overtures, Contact), music direction by David Chase (Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, Nice Work If You Can Get It), and direction by Trip Cullman (Six Degrees of Separation, Significant Other).

It was just announced by Pulitzer Prize administrator Mike Pride that Lynn Nottage's SWEAT has officially won the 2017 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. 

The Lost Treasures Collection, a series of rarely performed musical gems, is back for a seventh season at Lakewood Theatre Company. This year three musicals featuring the theme 'New York, New York' will be presented in a concert/cabaret style. The first offering, Tenderloin will have only 3 performances: Friday, October 21 at 7:00 PM and Saturday, October 22 at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Performances are on Lakewood's Side Door stage at Lakewood Center for the Arts in Lake Oswego, Oregon.

The recent renaissance of appreciation for the musicals of composer Jerry Bock and lyricist Sheldon Harnick, which has included Broadway revivals of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF and SHE LOVES ME, along with an Off-Broadway reworking of THE ROTHSCHILDS retitled ROTHSCHILD & SONS, continues with a transfer of director Bob Moss' Berkshire Theatre Group production of the team's Pulitzer Prize winner, FIORELLO!

BTG's exciting revival is the first ever full-scale New York City and Off-Broadway revival of the hit musical. Previews of Fiorello! will began Sunday, September 4, at East 13th Street Theater (136 East 13th Street, between 3rd and 4th Avenues), with opening night being held tonihgt, September 9, 2016.

Berkshire Theatre Group (BTG) has just announced its sold-out production of Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick's Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical Fiorello! will transfer to Off-Broadway's East 13th Street Theater (136 East 13th Street, between 3rd and 4th Avenues), home of Classic Stage Company.
