Mikhail Baryshnikov, founder and artistic director of the Baryshnikov Arts Center, critically acclaimed film, television and theater actor and one of the world's greatest ballet dancers, will receive an honorary degree and deliver the main address at Northwestern University's 155th commencement.

Emmy Award nominee Stefanie Powers will now play the role of legendary actress Tallulah Bankhead on the national tour of LOOPED. She replaces Valerie Harper, who was advised by doctors to take an immediate medical leave after having recently been hospitalized; she has flown back to Los Angeles with her husband Tony Cacciotti where she will receive continuing treatment and medical care.

Dance from the Heart returns to New York City Tonight - Monday, January 28 and tomorrow Tuesday, January 29, 2013 with shows at 6:30pm & 8:30pm each night at Cedar Lake Theater, 547 W. 26th Street in Manhattan's West Chelsea Historic District. The exciting benefit will feature performances by more than a dozen of the most diverse dancers, dance companies and choreographers working today. Dance from the Heart will present a different program of performances for each night (see schedule below), a poignant anti-bullying number danced by teenagers and the world premiere of a piece choreographed by American Ballet Theatre principal dancer Marcelo Gomes.

The exciting benefit will feature performances by more than a dozen of the most diverse dancers, dance companies and choreographers working today.

When West Side Story opened in 1957 it was nothing the world had ever seen before. This was partly because of the heavy themes it deals with, namely racial prejudice and gang violence, but mainly because it gracefully blends dance into the telling of the story.

Antony Tudor's Jardin aux Lilas (also known by its American title Lilac Garden) was first presented by Ballet Rambert on January 26, 1936 at the Mercury Theatre in London. Set in the Edwardian era to music by Ernest Chausson the ballet depicts the story of a young woman who is engaged to a man she does not love, pitted against her passion for the man she cannot marry.

The first national tour of Priscilla Queen of the Desert The Musical is coming to Philadelphia at the Academy of Music from February 26 through March 3. Part of the Broadway Season presented by the Kimmel Center and the Shubert Organization, the press opening is scheduled for Tues. Feb. 26 at 7:30 pm.

Talented, young, versatile, and male-mostly-the Bad Boys will bring to Three Stages a night of extraordinary athleticism and endearing individuality.

Though some moments certainly work more than others, West Side Terri is an amusing and enjoyable show carried by a skilled performer.

The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director) has announced that Broadway veterans Jason Alexander ("Seinfeld," Jerome Robbins' Broadway) and Tovah Feldshuh (Golda's Balcony, Irena's Vow) will star in the season opener of the Winter 2013 Musicals in Mufti Series: Two By Two, with Book by Peter Stone, Lyrics by Martin Charnin and Music by the legendary Richard Rodgers. Additional casting will be announced shortly.
