TheatreWorks Silicon Valley announces a special one-night-only musical event Hershey Felder's Great American Songbook Sing-Along. Felder, who will be performing Hershey Felder, Beethoven from June 7-July 9 at TheatreWorks, will lead audiences through 100 years of American music from George and Ira Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Irving Berlin, Rodgers & Hammerstein, to Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim, and many more. Hershey Felder's Great American Songbook Sing-Along will be presented 7:30pm, June 27, 2017 at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, 500 Castro St., Mountain View. Hershey Felder Returns to San Diego Rep as Irving Berlin

San Diego Repertory Theatre (San Diego REP) has announced the return of the highly acclaimed and widely popular holiday show, "Hershey Felder as Irving Berlin." The newly announced show, a holiday offering during the downtown theatre's 42nd season, features songs by Irving Berlin and a book by Hershey Felder, with direction from longtime Felder collaborator Trevor Hay. The show's run begins on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 and plays through Sunday, January 7, 2018 with a press opening on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 8 p.m. on the Lyceum Stage Theatre at San Diego REP in Horton Plaza.

NASHVILLE, TN - A Martin acoustic guitar made in 1939 and valued at $350,000... A Lloyd Loar-signed mandolin from the 1920s considered to be even rarer than a Stradivarius violin... A 1960 Gibson Les Paul Standard Sunburst Electric guitar worth $225,000... These are just a few of the instruments on display at the new Gallery of Iconic Guitars (GIG) at Belmont, which held its official grand opening today on the campus of Belmont University. Today's event at the vintage instrument museum featured performances from legendary country artists Vince Gill and Ricky Skaggs, along with current Belmont graduate student Ben Valine, a commercial guitar performance major from Forest Lake, Minnesota.

In 2015, after a lengthy eighteen year hiatus, New York born vocalist Wendy Scherl returned to the world of cabaret with her highly acclaimed solo show, What Do You Do All Day at Don't Tell Mama (directed by Helen Baldasarre.) The success of that show led to a string of notable singing appearances in various clubs around the city, culminating in Wendy' s triumph as the first runner up in the 2016 MetroStar search at the Metropolitan Room.
