John Brannoch, cast member of the current production of PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT in London, recently released a video of some backstage antics at the hit show.

Based on the Oscar® award-winning film, Priscilla tells the story of Tick (Jason Donovan), Bernadette (Tony Sheldon) and Adam (Oliver Thornton), a glamorous Sydney-based performing trio that agree to take their show to the middle of the Australian outback.

Priscilla Queen Of The Desert The Musical will celebrate a year in the West End on 23 March 2010 having completed over 425 performances at the Palace Theatre since its opening last year.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported Gary McQuinn, producer of the Australian hit PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESSERT, announced that the show has planned a Broadway transfer for sometime in 2011. At last night's WhatsOnStage.com Awards, Gary McQuinn, producer of the Australian hit PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESSERT, announced that the show has planned a Broadway transfer for sometime in 2011, as previously reported by BroadwayWorld. Whatsonstage.com confirmed the statement today.

Based on the Oscar® award-winning film, Priscilla tells the story of Tick (Jason Donovan), Bernadette (Tony Sheldon) and Adam (Oliver Thornton), a glamorous Sydney-based performing trio that agree to take their show to the middle of the Australian outback.

According to an equity casting notice, the West End hit, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, will open on Broadway at a house to be announced on March 6, 2011. According to the same notice, the production will first play the Prince of Wales Theater in Toronto, with previews beginning October 12, 2010.

As previously reported, Priscilla Queen Of The Desert The Musical will celebrate a year in the West End on 23 March 2010 having completed over 425 performances at the Palace Theatre since its opening last year. From 8 March Jason Donovan (Tick) and Oliver Thornton (Adam) will be joined by Don Gallagher as Bernadette, as booking for the show extends until 26 February 2011. Over the summer (6 June - 5 September 2010) there will be Sunday performances of Priscilla Queen Of The Desert The Musical at 3pm. The show is reportedly Broadway-bound thereafter in 2011.

Don Gallagher takes over from Tony Sheldon as Bernadette from March 8th 2010

Jason Donovan, Tony Sheldon, Oliver Thornton and Clive Carter lead the cast of Priscilla Queen Of The Desert The Musical, written by Stephan Elliott and Allan Scott and directed by Simon Phillips, with Press Night on 23 March and Gala Night on 24 March 2009. Bookings are currently open for performances until 26 September 2009.
