Joe Thomas, best known for his role in E4's The Inbetweeners, is to star in a play at Theatre Royal, Glasgow.

Director/choreographer Cambrian James is at it again, at the steering wheel, putting the pedal to the metal and serving up a high-spirited edition of the children's classic, CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG ~ featuring a parade of exceptional talents and supported by the always reliable musical direction of Lincoln Wright and Tia Hawkes's amazingly variegated and finely tailored costumes. Runs through August 17th at Hale Centre Theatre in Gilbert, AZ.

Amour, which opens soon at the Charing Cross Theatre, isn't just a musical - it's a musical fantasy. Tinged with love, longing, and imagination, it's a show that not only provides, but demands, endless creativity. Book writer Jeremy Sams spoke to BroadwayWorld ahead of the UK premiere about doing magic on stage, and the power of the imagination.

Edmond Rostand is a broke poet who's going through a seemingly endless writer's block. His plays are critical flops, his investors don't have any more patience nor money to waste on him, and his wife needs him to provide for their family. In an attempt to help his actor friend Leon charm young Jeanne, he starts penning letters under his name, getting more and more involved in the pretense and kicking off the idea for his 1897 masterpiece Cyrano de Bergerac.

Haydn Gwynne will make her Chichester debut in the title role of HEDDA TESMAN by Cordelia Lynn, after Henrik Ibsen. Holly Race Roughan directs this co-production with Headlong and The Lowry, running at the Minerva Theatre from 30 August - 28 September.

Paris, 1950 - a shy, unassuming civil servant, Dusoleil, lives alone and works diligently in a dreary office. To pass the time, he writes letters to his mother and daydreams about the beautiful Isabelle, who is kept locked away by her controlling husband. When Dusoleil miraculously gains the ability to walk through walls, he not only begins to lead a double life, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor to right the wrongs of his war-impoverished Parisian neighbours, but also gains the self-confidence to woo Isabelle and, just for a while, live the life he has always longed for.
