Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestra's begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven- o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. Below, BroadwayWorld brings you some cabaret highlights for this week as picked by our theatre editors, including: NAMT Songwriter Spotlight Featuring Adam Gwon, Greg Hildreth, Kate Wetherhead, & More; 54 Sings Chess; Patti LuPone: The Lady with the Torch; After Midnight Reunion Concert; and Broadway Loves Sam Smith Featuring Jeremy Jordan, Ben Platt, and More.

Northern Stage, the region's award-winning professional theater, will present its last production in Briggs Opera House: Songs for a New World by Tony-winning composer/lyricist Jason Robert Brown. The show runs live on stage at the Briggs Opera House in White River Junction, VT, April 8 through May 3.

The initial artists are now confirmed for 'Broadway Sings Bruno Mars', the eighth installment of the acclaimed Broadway Sings concert series. Some of Broadway's current, brightest talents will sing completely new arrangements of the hits of funk superstar Bruno Mars, accompanied by a full band playing brand new, original orchestrations of the singer's greatest songs.

Performers include Nick Rashad Burroughs (Kinky Boots), Steel Burkhardt (Aladdin, Hair), Alison Case (Hands on a Hardbody, Hair), Corey Mach (Hands on a Hardbody, Godspell), Zak Resnick (Mamma Mia), Keala Settle (Les Miserables, Hands on a Hardbody), and Joey Toranto (Kinky Boots, Rock of Ages). Additional performers will be announced at a later date.

One of the most popular stories of the year so far, the unexpected announcement of a special one night only charity concert performance of a fan favorite musical-within-the-series from NBC's musical series SMASH, BOMBSHELL, to benefit the Actors Fund, is already a huge hit here on BroadwayWorld, and, now we bring you an exclusive chat with an elemental figure in the creation of the project, choreographer and director Joshua Bergasse, all about the hotly anticipated evening. As part of our conversation, Bergasse offers up a slew of new details on what plans are currently in place for the unprecedented SMASH reunion as well as share first reactions to the wildly successful Kickstarter campaign that has already racked up more than $315,000 in donations in less than two weeks, having begun with a goal of $50,000 when the event was first announced. Fra Fee and Laura Tebbutt are set to star in Jason Robert Brown's award-winning 'The Last Five Years' at the Lyric Theatre, Belfast from 24th June - 4th July 2015 in what has been one of their dream roles since the pair met at the Royal Academy of Music back in 2009.

Based on Tony Award-winning Jason Robert Brown's hit off-Broadway musical and starring Anna Kendrick, THE LAST FIVE YEARS will receive an exclusive two-week theatrical run in the heart of London's West End at The Empire Leicester Square before being released on VOD on 1 May and DVD on 4 May.

Jason Robert Brown revealed in concert on Friday night at SubCulture in New York City that he is at work on a new musical adaptation of the 1992 Tom Hanks film, A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN. No word yet as to when we may hear the Tony Award-winner's score or who else is on the creative team.

On Monday, May 4th, 2015, the American Cancer Society will present A Spring Tribute to Marvin Hamlisch featuring the music of 'Sweet Smell of Success' at the Hudson Theatre at the Millennium Broadway Hotel in New York City. Proceeds from the Gala and the performance will benefit the critical cancer research, education, advocacy and patient services supported by the American Cancer Society.
