Manhattan Concert Productions is bringing the Drama Desk and Tony Award-winning score of PARADE back to Lincoln Center, where it all began in 1998. This concert performance of PARADE will feature a chorus of over 200 singers from the across the United States; the enlarged forces of the New York City Chamber Orchestra; and a full professional Broadway cast. Stage and screen legend Barbra Streisand has been working with Universal Pictures on a new big screen adaptation of the beloved Broadway musical GYPSY since 2011. This would be the third film of GYPSY having first been made in 1962 (starring Rosalind Russell) and then again in 1993 for television (starring Bette Midler).

Today, we celebrate the birthday of Emily Whitlow, a 17-year-old (or is she 18 today?) student at Ravenwood High School in neighboring Williamson County. A native of New York, Emily moved to Tennessee with her family at the age of 15 and since then she has appeared in several school productions, including her turn as Dolly Gallagher Levi in Hello, Dolly! during her sophomore year. In addition she's appeared in Circle Players' bare and Shrek the Musical and Promises, Promises at Boiler Room Theatre.
Anna Kendrick shared that she wishes real life was just like a musical, which was enough for Conan to cue the music and burst into song with his guest!

Chris Isaacson Presents and Upright Cabaret have announced the final concerts of Molly Ringwald's West Coast Tour on Sunday, March 8 at the Catalina Bar & Grill in Hollywood. The tour, which has included more than 160 performances in seven countries and is now on its way home to Los Angeles with upcoming appearances in San Francisco, San Diego, and Palm Springs, will play two shows at Catalina at 7pm and 9:30pm.
Following multiple sold out engagements, Charlie Rosen's Broadway Big Band will return to the intimate Manhattan venue 54 Below tonight, February 5th to kick off an official residence for 2015. Tony Award nominee Jeremy Jordan (Newsies, Bonnie & Clyde) and Ciara Renee (Pippin, Big Fish) will make their Broadway Big Band debuts, joing a starry list of performers.
