Jeremy Jordan and More Set for American Cancer Society's Marvin Hamlisch Benefit This May

On Monday, May 4th, 2015, the American Cancer Society will present A Spring Tribute to Marvin Hamlisch featuring the music of "Sweet Smell of Success" at the Hudson Theatre at the Millennium Broadway Hotel in New York City. Proceeds from the Gala and the performance will benefit the critical cancer research, education, advocacy and patient services supported by the American Cancer Society.

Several Broadway stars will give an enthralling concert performance of "Sweet Smell of Success", Marvin Hamlisch (music), Craig Carnelia (lyrics), and John Guare (book), including Jeremy Jordan, Adam Jacobs, Lindsay Mendez, Marissa McGowan, Steven Brinberg, Bernard Dotson, Peter Dugan, and Charles Yang. The performance will be directed by John Simpkins with musical direction by J. Ernest Green, stage management by Tony Award Winner Peter Lawrence and sound by Bob Rendon.

Philanthropist Lily Safra will receive the Marvin Hamlisch Memorial Award for Humanitarian Efforts in gratitude for her ongoing global charitable endeavors, notably in science and in medicine.

Christie's, Discovery Communications, GroupM and Horizon Media, Inc. are sponsoring the evening. Joseph and Sherri Abruzzese are the Co-Chairs.

The evening will begin with cocktails at 6:00pm followed by the dinner and the awards presentation at 6:45pm. The performance will begin at 8:00pm. Show tickets begin at $75; tickets to the dinner, awards and the show begin at $1,000 and sponsorship packages begin at $15,000.
