ABSOLUTELY FILTHY Set to Premiere at FringeNYC on 8/8

Following its sold out run at South Coast Reportory's Studio SCR series, the critically acclaimed ABSOLUTELY FILTHY will be premiering at The New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC), with performances from August 8th through the 24th at Venue #17, The Players Theatre (115 MacDougal Street between West 3rd and Bleeker). Tickets for ABSOLUTELY FILTHY are $18 - $24 and the performance schedule will be as follows: Friday, August 8th at 9:15pm, Wednesday, August 13th at 7pm, Tuesday, August 19th at 2pm, Thursday August 21st at 7pm and Friday, August 22nd at 2pm. Everyone should have the opportunity to express themselves artistically. Theatre, music, dance, poetry - all forms of art stimulate growth and nurture our intuitive connection to the world around us. CRE Outreach (which stands for Create, Reflect, Empower) uses theatre as a means of artistic exploration for the visually impaired, military veterans, and at-risk youth. It also educates the public about the value of their contributions within the greater artistic community. Both are worthy endeavors.

Robert Smith & Ginger Lawrence to Lead BEYOND SIGHT at Stella Adler Theatre, 4/25-5/25

Blind actor Robert Smith and former U.S. Marine Ginger Lawrence head the cast of a new musical about a soldier who returns to the U.S. after losing his sight during combat in Afghanistan. Featuring a book by Nick Sivakumaran and Jeremy Aldridge, music by Emmy-nominated Mark P. Leonard and Colin Simson, and lyrics by Greg Shane, Colin Simson and Mark P. Leonard, CRE Outreach presents the world premiere of Beyond Sight at the Stella Adler Theatre in Hollywood for a five-week run opening April 25.

Actor/singer Luca Ellis is having a breakthrough year portraying Frank Sinatra in the huge hit Hoboken to Hollywood at the Edgemar Center for the Arts, now extended to the end of January. Having portrayed Sinatra last year with the cast of Louis and Keely @ the El Portal, he is no stranger to the legend. It shows, for when you close your eyes, you feel you are listening to Sinatra himself. Handsome and confident, Ellis talks about the show, its eventual move to a larger space - one that has been confirmed by director Jeremy Aldridge, who also directed Louis and Keeley Live at the Sahara to great acclaim - and shares other insights about singers and the art of singing.

Allison Bibicoff is ready to turn her dancers loose for tonight's opening of SAVIN' UP FOR SATURDAY NIGHT. She originally choreographed the musical for its run at Sacred Fools Theatre Company last fall and the new co-production with The Grove Theatre in Upland amps up the fun for a show that played to sold out audiences here in Los Angeles and was extended due to popular demand.

Jeremy Aldridge most recently directed the World Premiere of Savin' Up For Saturday Night at Sacred Fools Theatre, for which he received a Best Director Nomination from LA Weekly. Previously he directed the award-winning and critically acclaimed Louis and Keely Live at the Sahara (Sacred Fools and Matrix Theatres), for which he received an Ovation Nomination and LADCC and Garland awards for Outstanding Direction. In this second interview with the creative team of Priscilla's Perfect Day @ GROUP rep in NoHo, Aldridge as director of the play describes his challenges in working on it.
