Stage Entertainment USA and Sylvester Stallone jsut announced complete casting for the upcoming musical, ROCKY. The previously announced cast members, Andy Karl (Rocky), Margo Seibert (Adrian), Terence Archie (Apollo Creed), Dakin Matthews (Mickey) and Danny Mastrogiorgio (Paulie) welcome principal Jennifer Mudge, who will play Gloria, the girlfriend of Paulie, Adrian's brother.

The Broadway Ballyhoo, now in its fifth month at The Laurie Beechman Theater, will feature one of New York's most in-demand talents, MICHAEL WINTHER. He received a Drama Desk nomination for his performance in 'Songs From an Unmade Bed' plus he has performed on Broadway with Jane Fonda and as one of the possible husbands in Mamma Mia! He will be joined by one of Forbidden Broadway's great talents, Jenny Lee Stern. In addition, Broadway Rising Star, soon to be hitting the road in the national tour of Man of La Mancha, SEAN BUHR will also be on the bill. And that's not all. There are always surprises at the Broadway Ballyhoo!

The producers of A Christmas Story, The Musical have announced the full cast for the production when it arrives at The Theater at Madison Square Garden for its December 11 - 29, 2013 engagement. Reprising their roles will be Dan Lauria (Lombardi, 'The Wonder Years,' 'Sullivan and Son') as Jean Shepherd, John Bolton (Spamalot, Contact, Titanic, 'Boardwalk Empire,' 'Gossip Girl') as the Old Man, Tony Award nominee Erin Dilly (Nice Work if You Can Get It, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) as Mother and Caroline O'Connor (Chicago, Moulin Rouge) as school teacher Miss Shields. Eli Tokash (Mary Poppins) will play Ralphie at certain perforances, Noah Baird as little brother Randy, and Jake Lucas (Newsies, Far From Heaven), donning the famous spectacles will take on the lead role of Ralphie.

On November 14th, Brooklyn-based company Opera on Tap will bring its hit opera SMASHED: The Carrie Nation Story by composer James Barry and librettist Timothy Braun to Freddy's Bar and Backroom in a new fully-immersive production. Dubbed by Feast of Music as an 'hilarious slapstick-style opera,' the show will take place in Freddy's front room at 8pm and will be free of charge.

This Chaplin-esque play was seen by many Terezin Ghetto inmates during rehearsals but it was banned by the ghetto's Council of Jewish Elders after its dress rehearsal. Švenk was sent to Auschwitz a few months later and his script was lost forever. Playwright Naomi Patz has reconstructed and reimaged Švenk's integral work and is bringing the The Last Cyclist to New York City audiences for the first time. Performances begin Today May 25 at the West End Theatre at Church of St. Paul and St. Andrew (263 W 86th St).

Donmar Warehouse announces 2013 Autumn Season

BBC Worldwide North America Sales & Distribution and PBS announced today the sale to PBS of the first season of the critically acclaimed British drama LAST TANGO IN HALIFAX and the third season of the award-winning BBC hit CALL THE MIDWIFE.

BBC Worldwide America Sales & Distribution and PBS announced today they have signed a deal that brings a second season of the critically-acclaimed British drama CALL THE MIDWIFE to PBS, with new episodes to start airing tonight, March 31, 2013, at 8:00 p.m. ET.
