New York University's Program in Vocal Performance will produce KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN Oct. 1 through Oct. 5, 2009 at the Frederick Loewe Theatre at 35 West 4th Street. Based on the Manuel Puig novel 'El Beso de la Mujer Araña', the show features a score by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and book by Terrence McNally.

WhatsOnStage.com is reporting that talks are under way to bring 'Minsky's,' the musical tale of Depression era burlesque that recently played in Los Angeles, to the West End in late 2010 or early 2011.

The Ogunquit Playhouse is thrilled to announce that it has received six Independent Reviewers of New England Award (IRNE) Nominations for its stunning 2008 production of the Lerner and Loewe musical, My Fair Lady. Nominations were received for Best Musical; Best Actor (Musical), Jefferson Mays; Best Director (Musical), Shaun Kerrison; Best Music Director, Catherine Stornetta; Best Costume Design, Gregory Poplyk; and Best Choreography, Jennifer Werner. Associated Press Theatre writer Michael Kuchwara is reporting that 'Minsky's,' the musical tale of Depression era burlesque that just opened last week in Los Angeles, is set for a summer or fall Broadway bow, according to its producers.
