Forward Theater Company has announced its 2020-2021 season, UNITED STORIES OF AMERICA.

Forward Theater Company is honored to announce that the Board of Governors of the Madison Community Foundation, at the request of donor Pleasant T. Rowland, has designated Ms. Rowland's original matching gift for a Great Performance Fund for the now-defunct Madison Repertory Theatre as a matching gift for a new Great Performance Fund for Forward Theater endowment campaign.

As Forward Theater Company (FTC) approaches their 10th anniversary and expands their 2018-19 season to four mainstage productions, they are the proud recipient of a two year, capacity-building grant from the Madison Community Foundation. Madison Community Foundation's mission is to enhance the common good through philanthropy.

We meet Elise (Kat Wodtke) in her office. Her husband, Brad (Jeb Burris) is away, in Iraq, fighting. She keeps her cheery disposition and hopefulness by finding rituals to survive it all and sticking to them.

For the holiday season, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre presents three classic one-acts by three celebrated writers, LOVE STORIES, now through December 20, 2015. The production features VILLAGE WOOING by George Bernard Shaw, THE JEWISH WIFE by Bertolt Brecht and HERE WE ARE by Dorothy Parker. Real-life married couple James Pickering and Tami Workentin star in LOVE STORIES under the direction of Paula Suozzi. LOVE STORIES performs in the Broadway Theatre Center's Studio Theatre in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward. Scroll down for a sneak peek at the cast onstage!

A quaint, well-loved home is where the scene is set. Minimal set dressings to mask the beautiful awkwardness of the first scene - with remnants of Anton Chekov's greatest works scattered upon the mantle. A seagull, a sister, a cluster of cherry blossoms, and a brood of hens watch over the home from their perch. These little trinkets are entirely appropriate since three of the four title roles were named after Chekov's characters. Vanya, the brother in the play, blames the unfortunate circumstance of his unusual name on his having professors for parents.
