Second Stage Theatre  will conclude the 2016 Uptown Series with the New York premiere of Lucy Teitler's ENGAGEMENTS, directed by Kimberly Senior. ENGAGEMENTS will feature JENNIFER KIM, OMAR MASKATI, ANA NOGUEIRA, MICHAEL STAHL-DAVID, and BROOKE WEISMAN . ENGAGEMENTS will begin previews on Monday, July 18th and will officially open on Thursday, August 4th.

Amazon Studios just celebrated the premiere of its highly-anticipated dramatic comedy series, Mozart in the Jungle. Mozart in the Jungle draws back the curtain at the New York Symphony, where artistic dedication and creativity collide with mind games, politicking and survival instincts. Based on the critically acclaimed memoir Mozart in the Jungle: Sex, Drugs & Classical Music by Blair Tindall, the series is seen through the eyes of a young oboist, Hailey (Kirke), who tries to navigate through the egos and eccentricities of a world renowned orchestra, and new conductor Rodrigo (Bernal), an enfant terrible whose PASSION for music threatens the plans of the orchestra's old guard. The first public event of The Met Reframed, the new Metropolitan Museum artist residency that in the 2012-13 season features Paul D. Miller aka DJ Spooky, is a screening of the classic 1956 Korean film Madame Freedom accompanied by a live performance-by violinist Jennifer Kim and cellist Danielle Cho, with electronic music-of an original score created in 2007 by Miller, on Friday, October 26, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. in the Met's Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium. The event will also be livestreamed over the Museum's website (www.metmuseum.org).
