Organizers of Time Inc.'s (NYSE:TIME) ESSENCE Festival today announced that world renowned television host, actress, producer, philanthropist and entrepreneur Oprah Winfrey will appear at the 2016 ESSENCE Festival in New Orleans

The LIVE premiere of the 2016 'BET AWARDS' on Sunday, June 26, is now the #1 Cable Awards Show among P18-49 for the 2015/2016 Broadcast Season, claiming the #1 spot for the 2nd consecutive year.

Jennifer Hudson, who recently made her Broadway debut in the Tony-winning revival of THE COLOR PURPLE, has signed an exclusive contract with Epic Records. The news was announced by Epic Chairman and CEO L.A. Reid.

On today's LIVE with Kelly, broadcasting icon Oprah Winfrey discussed presenting at this year's Tony Awards and Broadway's THE COLOR PURPLE, which took home the Tony for Best Revival of a Musical.

Broadway's Kristin Chenoweth took to Twitter today to announce the exciting news that she will portray Velma Von Tussle in NBC's live broadcast of HAIRSPRAY.

Cynthia Erivo has won the 2016 Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical for her role as Celie in THE COLOR PURPLE.

THE COLOR PURPLE has won the 2016 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical. The original production ran on Broadway in 2005 and earned eleven 2006 Tony Awards nominations.
