The Broadway Artists Connection (BAC) presents its eighth Broadway Artists & Friends Open Mic & Mingle hosted by 5 time Broadway Veteran, Jennifer Sanchez (ON YOUR FEET) on Monday, May 23rd at 7pm (doors open at 6pm). The evening will be kicked off by a stellar line up of Broadway pros followed by selected 'aspiring artists & friends' at at the legendary Laurie Beechman Theatre, 407 W 42nd Street.

At a normal social gathering your sister is having you would thing you would be allowed to bring a guest. Now, what if that guest is an imaginary six-and-a-half-tall rabbit? Well that's the case in 'Harvey,' which is currently playing at Elgin Community College (ECC). Elwood P. Dowd (Nathan Mann) insist on having his rabbit Harvey at all of his sister's social gatherings, but when Elwood's sister Veta Louis Simon (Alissa Teadt) and her daughter Myrtle Mae (Karen Almanza) decide to have Elwood committed to a sanitarium (mental institution) some interruptions occur along the way.

A rock 'n' roll queen returns for her crown in I WILL NOT GO GENTLY, a world premiere comedy written and performed by Jennifer Childs, running April 21 - May 15, 2016 from 1812 Productions. This play with music tells the story of fictional '80s rock icon Sierra Mist and the spirit of rebellion embodied in her music. Sierra has gone from top of the charts to middle aged obscurity, leaving behind a legion of fans for whom her songs were the anthems of their adolescence.
George London Foundation to Welcome Jennifer Johnson Cano & Dimitri Pittas, 5/15

To conclude the 20th season of its recital series, the George London Foundation for Singers presents a performance by two acclaimed young artists: mezzo-soprano Jennifer Johnson Cano, who won a George London Award in 2014, and tenor Dimitri Pittas, a 2004 George London Award winner, on Sunday, May 15, 2016, at 4:00 pm, at The Morgan Library & Museum. Accompanying them at the piano will be each singer's respective spouse: Christopher Cano and Leah Edwards.

Just this morning, Something Rotten and Spotlight star Brian d'Arcy James along with this season's break-out and genuflecting sensation Jennifer Simard from Broadway's Disaster announced the The Outer Critics Circle nominees for the 2015-16 season from New York's legendary Algonquin Hotel (59 W 44th Street.) Outer Critics Circle nominations are the first major Broadway/Off-Broadway award nominees of the New York theater season. Of note, because they were eligible last year for their Off-Broadway incarnations, HAMILTON, BLACKBIRD and DISASTER! were only eligible for new elements.
