Tony Award Winner Paulo Szot will return as “Billy Flynn” to Chicago when performances resume on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at the Ambassador Theatre.

Producers Barry and Fran Weissler have just announced casting for the Broadway company of CHICAGO, which resumes performances at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W 49th St, NYC) on Tuesday, September 14th. Leading the company will be Bianca Marroquín making her debut in the role of Velma Kelly, Tony Award-winner Lillias White as Matron “Mama” Morton, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart and Ryan Lowe as Mary Sunshine. Casting for the roles of Roxie Hart and Billy Flynn will officially be announced soon, but according to an Instagram post from casting office Stewart/Whitley, Ana Villafañe will play Roxie.

With a legendary book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, Chicago is now the #1 longest-running American musical in Broadway history.

This week's event featured performances by the casts of Miss Saigon (Rachelle Ann Go, Eva Noblezada), Chicago (David Bushman, Gabrielle McClinton, Jessica Ernest, Michael Scirrotto, Robyn Hurder, Peter Nelson, Donna Marie Asbury, Denny Paschall, Jennifer Dunne), and Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 (Lulu Fall, Shoba Narayan, Lauren Zakrin) with special guests from Broadway Dreams.

Earlier this week, the company of CHICAGO took their act uptown, to Central Park. To celebrate the musical's 20th Anniversary, fans got to experience the razzle dazzle with a free concert at SummerStage in Central Park. CHICAGO, Broadway's longest running American musical, just held a celebratory cocktail reception today at New York City's The Palm Restaurant West Side location to officially launch the show's 20th anniversary year.
