The new production of Scott Organ's play PHOENIX, starring Emmy Award and Golden Globe nominee Julia Stiles andJames Wirt, will have scenic design by Caite Hevner Kemp, costume design by Amit Gajwani, lighting design by Oona Curley, sound design by Janie Bullard, scenic art by Burton Machen and general management by Brierpatch Productions. Directed by Jennifer DeLia, PHOENIX begins performances at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street) Monday, July 28. Presented by Nicholas Jabbour, PHOENIX will play a limited engagement through Saturday, August 23, and is produced by Poverty Row Entertainment, Rian Patrick Durham and Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, by special arrangement with The Cherry Lane Theatre.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced the company's 2014-2015 programming celebrating it's 20th anniversary season. The season will include New York and World premieres by Keith Josef Adkins, Robert Boswell, Sheila Callaghan, Laura Eason, Michael Laurence, Laith Nakli, Scott Organ, Ruben Polendo, and Daniel Talbott.

Julie Pacino, Poverty Row Entertainment, Rian Patrick Durham and Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, by special arrangement with The Cherry Lane Theatre, just announced that Emmy Award and Golden Globe nominee Julia Stiles ("Dexter") will return to the New York stage opposite James Wirt in a fresh take on Scott Organ's play PHOENIX. Directed by Jennifer DeLia, PHOENIX begins performances at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street) Monday, July 28, and opens Thursday, August 7. PHOENIX will play a limited engagement through Saturday, August 23. The design team for PHOENIX will be announced shortly.

Julia Stiles has officially signed on for the upcoming Mary Pickford biopic, THE FIRST, according to Variety.

Digitalspy.com reports that Jude Law is reportedly set to portray Douglas Fairbanks the an upcoming biopic on the life of actresss Mary Pickford. As previously reported, the role of Pickford will be played by Broadway's Lily Rabe.
