Columbia Stages will present THE GOVERNMENT INSPECTOR, the 2014 MFA Actors' thesis production, an adaptation of Nikolai Gogol's Russian classic by Jeffrey Hatcher, directed by Jesse Berger. THE GOVERNMENT INSPECTOR will open at 3LD and run from November 13-16 and 20-23.

With seven premieres on its stages this year, Artists Rep's 2013/14 season reinforces the theatre's longstanding commitment to producing new plays in Portland. With the U.S. premiere of Foxfinder starting tonight, October 29, Artists Rep aims to give this play national recognition and offer West Coast audiences the first look at this up-and-coming playwright.

The stage incarnation of the treasured bestseller, Tuesdays with Morrie, makes its Blackfriars Theatre premiere in what is sure to be a play that will stay with you long after you've left the theatre. Tuesdays with Morrie tells the true story of its author, Mitch Albom, an accomplished journalist driven solely by his career, and his former college professor, Morrie. Sixteen years after graduation, Mitch happens to catch Morrie's appearance on a television news program and learns that his old professor is battling Lou Gehrig's Disease. Mitch is reunited with Morrie, and what starts as a simple visit turns into a weekly pilgrimage and a last class in the meaning of life.

Dale Hodges and Raymond McAnally reprise roles as etiquette expert Mrs. Mannerly and her 9-going-on-10-year-old student in Jeffrey Hatcher's brisk and funny memoir play opening the 2013-2014 season at TheaterWorks, Hartford.

City Theatre continues its 2013-2014 season with Charles Ives Take Me Home, a music-filled journey by Jessica Dickey. Directed by Matt M. Morrow, Charles Ives Take Me Home runs from November 9 to December 15, 2013 in City Theatre's Hamburg Studio, with an Opening Night performance on Friday, November 15 at 8pm.

Producers Fran Kirmser and Tony Ponturo announced today that Bronx Bombers, a new American play written and directed by Eric Simonson, will begin performances on Broadway starting January 10, 2014 at Circle in the Square Theater (235 West 50th Street). Frederick Knott's psychological thriller Wait Until Dark first premiered on Broadway in 1966 with Lee Remick in the title role and was later turned into a film with Audrey Hepburn. The latest adaptation of the play at the Geffen is by Jeffrey Hatcher, who has moved the action from the 60s to the 40s.
