Paradise Theatre presents Meredith Willson's THE MUSIC MAN, Book and Lyrics by Meredith Willson, Story by Meredith Willson and Franklin Lacey

DSI Comedy Theater is kicking off CageMatch MAYHEM, running Saturday nights at 9:30 p.m. throughout the entire month. Each week, two longform improv teams will battle it out and the audience decides the winner.

DSI Comedy Theater announced its June schedule recently and there were two noticeable changes on it. For the month of June, the Triangle comedy mainstay is moving its weekly stand-up comedy showcase to Thursday nights.

Just in time for the rush of summer movies, DSI Comedy Theater is running a full month of PT Scarborough is a Movie throughout June.

Based on the popular 1988 film, DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS centers on two con men living on the French Riviera. The first is the suave and sophisticated Lawrence Jameson, who makes his lavish living by talking rich ladies out of their money. The other, a small-time crook named Freddy Benson, more humbly swindles women by waking their compassion with fabricated stories about his grandmother's failing health.

For the 8th year in a row, DSI Comedy Theater will be fundraising through laughs. For the past three years DSI has raised money for the Strong Kids Campaign scholarship fund at the Chapel Hill-Carrboro YMCA with the theater's mini festival, Y Laugh.

DSI Comedy Theater is heating up the summer with a little competition. Throughout the month of July, DSI is expanding its monthly CAGEMATCH to three exciting weekends with special out-of-town feature Acts each week. The line-up features teams from Atlanta, Texas, and Canada. All shows are Saturdays at 9:30 p.m. and cost $10.

Beth Henley's The Miss Firecracker Contest (directed by Jeff Richards) is set to be performed at the Paradise Theatre Fridays & Saturdays at 7:30pm and Saturdays at 3:00pm from June 19 - July 5 (no show July 4). Tickets cost $18 Adults/$15 Senior-Military/$8 Students.
