Jeff Daniels will fly in from New York where he is currently starring in GOD OF CARNAGE, be guest of honor at a gala benefit for his newest play, ESCANABA, at The Purple Rose Theatre Company in Chelsea.

The Clockwork Theatre, a New York City-based non-profit organization is proud to announce the first production of their 5th anniversary season, UNDERGROUND, written by JAMES McMANUS (winner of the 2006 Princess Grace Playwriting Award). Performances will begin on Tuesday, September 29th; opening on Sunday, October 4th; and will run through October 17th, 2009 at the Beckett Theatre (410 West 42nd Street).

A conversation with Jeff Daniels, Hope Davis, James Gandolfini and Marcia Gay Harden, the entire cast of Yasmina Reza's award-winning play God of Carnage. They discuss working together as an ensemble to create their characters and keep them alive eight performances a week in this insightful and madcap hit play.

The Tony nominated cast of Yasmina Reza's GOD OF CARNAGE have extended their contracts through November 15. The entire production took a 6 week summer hiatusto allow the cast to fulfill previously scheduled family commitments. The production, starring Jeff Daniels, Hope Davis, James Gandolfini and Marcia Gay Harden will resume performances tonight, Tuesday, September 8 and continue through Sunday, November 15 with the current award winning ensemble.

The Phoenix Theatre of Indianapolis announces the first play of the 2009-2010 season, The Most Damaging Wound by Blair Singer, which was previously staged at Manhattan Theatre Source in November 2008. The company's fourth production follows Mauckingbird's lesbian adaptation of Hedda Gabler (2009) and the critically acclaimed all-male versions of The Misanthrope (2008) and Shakespeare's R & J (2008).

Drama Desk Award Winner Rachel York has joined the cast of the highly anticipated national stage production of The 101 Dalmatians Musical, based on the 1956 classic story written by Dodie Smith. Announced today by Magic Arts & Entertainment/Tix Productions, Troika General Management and international producer Luis Alvarez, York joins an impressive creative team in the starring role as the sinister Cruella de Vil, notorious for kidnapping Dalmatian puppies for their distinctive spots, in a one-of-a-kind musical adventure for the entire family about what it means to be a family, canine and courageous. The 101 Dalmatians Musical will play the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center for a limited engagement October 20-25, 2009.

Saturday, November 7, the producers and stars of GOD OF CARNAGE will host an extraordinary event to benefit the Purple Rose Theatre of Chelsea, Michigan.
